a long distance marriage

We’ve made it halfway.  Ironically, we thought our days of separation were over when Nick left the Marine Corps.  Life happens, though, and he was offered a seasonal position at Point Reyes National Seashore with the National Park Service.  After enduring another Minnesota winter, though mild, it’s hard to resist a summer on the coast.

It was too good to pass up, so in May we packed up the car and headed west.

After three years of small-town, southern Minnesotan restaurants, this place is unbelievable.  Fish tacos on the beach have become a favorite.

This little guy joined us for lunch on my last visit.

We’re about halfway through right now, and I’m slowly realizing that I don’t think I’ll even have enough time to explore San Francisco properly.  I’m only three months into my year at work, and I’ve almost used up my entire two weeks leave.  I think I need to find employment with more vacation time…
